The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Johnson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

I remember

I met Bill when he bought Bernard's Tavern. It was a burnt, gutted hulk of a building at the time but Bill loved it. From his wood burning kitchen stove to his faux hand crank water pump faucet, Bill turned it into an eclectic museum of historical memories. I remember when Bill, my dad Don Lowe and I teamed up and put the old Wells Town Hall clock on the barn roof which was followed soon after by the windmill. I learned many things from Bill and have a hundred stories that I will always remember. Bill did what most dream of, he lived his passion. Rest in peace my friend, perhaps one day, out of the corner of an eye, I will see you smiling at an auction.
