Obituary for Connie Rose Loucks (Doane)

Connie Rose Loucks, 62, of Wells, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Elmira, NY, one of nine children to Raymond Stanley and Marion Joyce (Garrison) Doane. She grew up in New York, where she graduated from Elmira Free Academy in the Class of ’71.

On September 15, 1973, she married Brian D. Loucks, and together they raised their two daughters, Kelly and Sarah.

Connie was a Customer Service Representative for NY Telephone for many years, where she was also past president of the Pioneer’s Association. She enjoyed the beach, country music, taking walks, raising her children, being a grandmother, and being the loving wife of Brian. She was always willing to help people any way she could, anywhere, anytime. Connie was also a Yoga aficionado.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Brian D. Loucks of Wells, ME; two daughters, Kelly Tabor and husband Jacob of South Hamilton, MA, Sarah Loucks of South Portland, ME; her eight siblings, Raymond Doane of Elmira, NY, Barbara Gee and husband Leon of Elmira, NY, Ronald Doane of Jessup, GA, Russell Doane of Minneapolis, MN, Joy Baumgartner and husband Bob of Victor, NY, Mary Rae Doane of Hollywood, MD, Robert Doane and wife Pamela of Proctorville, OH, Rodney Doane and wife Kathy of Berwick, PA; her granddaughter, Olivia Tabor.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, ME with Reverend Carolyn Lambert officiating. The family is planning a reception after the service, location to be determined. Burial will be in the Spring.
