Condolence: Just received notice of your loss Sarah. My sincere condolences to you and your family. I believe we met a reunion 20 years ago. Dave was a life long friend since the 5th grade in Hackett Mills, Maine. We met for lunch last summer in Kennebunk while visiting Maine. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Condolence From: Jerry Brooks
Condolence: First of all, let me express my deepest sympathy to David's families -- he was the best of the best, and will be greatly missed!

I was a Theta Chi Brother of Dave's at the University of Maine, graduating as a Mechanical Engineer in 1960 and worked at the Kittery Naval Shipyard for 34 years. Dave graduated later as a Civil Engineer and subsequently worked later on at the K, K, and Wells Water district. Dave was always a vocalist, and an excellent one at that!

At UMO in those days, we had an annual "Interfraternity Sing". I conducted "the House" in our selections. EVERYONE in the Fraternity participated, including half a dozen "tone deaf" Brothers whom I advised before the performance to move their lips ONLY and not make a sound! It worked, and we received a win; it was added to our prior wins, and we secured the huge McCusker trophy for good!

I saw Dave several times in the ensuing years (he was singing Barbershop and I was conducting adult concert bands as an avocation). I will always have fond memories of our Brotherhood and friendship -- May he rest in peace!

Jerry, Gamma '60
