Condolence: I was employeed at R H Brown while it was under the ownership of Stuart Giles. While working for Stu I became friends with Bob during his weekly visits. He was a wonderful man. I left R H Brown and Bob and I kept in touch via e-mail or an annual lunch date! We would often talk of his loving wife Carolyn and his family. I will miss Bob dearly as I am sure everyone who's lives he touched will also.

Condolence: It is with great sadness that I write this.

Robert Brown was always known to me as “Bob”. I only met him a few times, but I could not have asked for a more gracious welcome and show of friendship. Our meeting occurred via his son-in-law Boyd, who, countless times, talked about “Bob” with such respect and love that it might be permissible to feel that I knew the man. But reading about him, it is astounding how much he managed to accomplish in his life; how many careers he had; and how much he impacted his community in such a positive manner. No, I did not really know him, but I wish I had. As a Marine, I would have cherished the opportunity to talk to one of the “China Marines” of Marine Corps lore. But I also wonder, what could I have learned from his wisdom about life and success from someone who clearly knew so much? Missed opportunities such as this make us poorer in our own life because we missed the inspiration that could have been. But reading about Bob Brown, I am comfortable that he provided plenty of inspiration and wisdom among the residents of southern Maine.

To the family, my deepest sympathies. To friends and family, may his life inspire each of you to follow in his example. To a fellow Marine, Semper Fi.

Condolence: Bobby Brown served with my mother Beryl as selectmen for many years. They were a great team and did so much for Kennebunkport. His leadership and dedication to the town went way above and beyond. Loving your town is one thing stepping up to guide it and making it the great place to live that it shows his total comittment . Bobby Brown was a great building block for a better town. he is owed much by many a life weel live. Salute

Condolence: I will very much miss Bob's visits at the office. He always had a smile when he came in and sometimes even a story. It was a pleasure working with him on his subdivisions and he will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.
