Marie W. Bridges, 82, of Wells, died Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2015 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford. She was born in Kennebunk on August 1, 1932, and was raised by her mother, Mabel E. Wildes.

On November 22, 1957, she married Casper A. Bridges. Together, they shared 57 years of marriage, raising their four children.

Marie enjoyed knitting, cross stitch, puzzles, spending time at their camp in Greenville, and visits from her grandchildren. At the time of her passing, she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her great granddaughter, Roseanna Marie.

She is survived by her loving husband Casper A. Bridges of Wells; her four children, Laurie Boudreau of Waterboro, Sherry Timberman of Kennebunk, Ronald Bridges and wife Lynn of Biddeford, James Bridges of Wells; two sisters, Sally (Ellsworth) Bridges of Kennebunkport, Maxine Shuffleburg of Kennebunk; eight grandchildren, Traci Stanley, Gary Stanley, Crystal Timberman, Jeffrey Bridges, Mandy Bridges, Jennifer Bridges, Ashley Bridges, Jessica Bridges; great grandchildren, Timothy Ridlon, Roseanna Marie Timberman-Hicks; many nieces and nephews; her special dog, Daisy, and her cat, Little Kitty.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk. There will be a gathering at the Masonic Hall in Kennebunkport after with refreshments. Private burial in the Spring. Should friends choose, memorial donations in her name are encouraged to: Animal Welfare Society, PO Box 43, West Kennebunk, ME 04094. Arrangements are in care of Bibber Memorial Chapel, Kennebunk.
