Condolences

Condolence From: Riyam Al Ghrary
Condolence: I am shocked and saddened by the news of Dr.Wright's passing. He was a great mentor to me at UNC and I'm only a pre-dental student. I met him when he gave a wonderful presentation about what the field of Prosthodontics entails to a pre-dental honor society club and I was so intrigued and impressed by his work that I went to talk to him afterwards and has since worked on a research project with him and attended the ACP session in Florida to present it. He was a wonderful mentor who cared for students and saw potential in everybody and encouraged us to work hard despite how difficult we perceived the idea of becoming a dentist to be ("oh I hated Organic Chemistry too" he said "but you won't see it again in dental school so just power through!"). I look up to him as a model in the field of dentistry. If I will be a quarter of how kind, generous, and professional he was, I would be very proud indeed.

Condolence: As a fellow professional, I will miss Robert's expertise and wisdom. He was a compassionate, caring doctor....which is increasingly hard to find.
Robert was a good man, and there are very few of us left ! My condolence to the immediate and extended family as well as all of his friends.

Condolence: Dear Bill: You may not remember me, but Robert was always very helpful to me as I hope I was to him. He was particularly gracious during my recent (Spring 2015) visit to the University; in fact he sponsored my visit and was most generous with his time. During his time at HSDM we had several projects we intended to do with various students. I will miss him.

Condolence: My heartfelt condolences to Bill and extended family. Having been Dr. Wright's clinical assistant at HSDM, I have nothing but great fond memories. Dr. Wright was a pleasure to work with. He had only enriched my life to have known him. I will miss Dr. Wright as he surely will be missed by so many others.

Condolence From: Tom Salinas
Condolence: Bill,

My heartfelt condolence on the loss of Rob. I got to know Rob and you through the Academy of Prosthodontics and was glad to be a colleague and friend. He was so generous with his time towards prosthodontics and education. Not only is his passing a huge loss to us, but a large loss to the community of prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics.
I was very happy to see him at the meetings and always enjoyed chatting with him and you about good New Orleans food!
He was a consummate gentleman and I will miss him very much. My sympathies at this difficult time.
With much warmth and respect,

Tom Salinas

Condolence: I can't begin to tell you how shocked I was when I heard the news. Rob was a wonderful human being and will be missed by all who knew him. I have such cherished memories of my sister Beth and I having dinner with him and Bill at the AP installation banquet in Bern; it was a wonderful night of conversation and dancing, and singing Sinatra tunes with him this year in Palm Springs. The world is not as bright with out him.

Condolence: Dear Bill,
Rob was a dear friend and touched many lives. He was always thinking of ways to include students in a collaborative project and perhaps inspire them to further learning experiences. Many will follow his example of being inclusive and generous. Peace be with you.
Keith
