During this difficult time, we would like to extend our most heartfelt sympathies. Dr. Wright was not only my teacher during dental school at Harvard, but also a warm and welcoming presence at UNC. We shared similar acculturation stories moving from Boston to Chapel Hill, cab rides from the airport, bus rides down Franklin, and many a conversation at UNC social events and in the halls of the dental school. Dr. Wright was a huge supporter of dental education, fostering kindness and camaraderie on a daily basis, and most of all, was someone I greatly looked forward to having heart-to-hearts with over the years. He will be greatly missed.
